Yield: 4 to 6 burgers
Ingredients
Not-So-Secret Secret Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
- 2 teaspoons grated sweet onion
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Pinch of paprika
Burgers
- 2 pounds 80/20 ground beef
- 3 to 4 tablespoons Don Sazon Hamburger Seasoning, or to taste
- 4 to 6 brioche burger buns
- Mayonnaise, for toasting buns
- Cheese of your choice (American, cheddar, pepper jack, etc.)
- Thinly sliced sweet onion
- Dill pickle slices
- Butter lettuce
Instructions
Whisk all of the sauce ingredients until smooth and chill while you prepare the burgers.
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates to help prevent sticking.
Gently divide the ground beef into 4 to 6 equal portions and form into patties about 1/2 inch larger than the buns. Press a slight indentation into the center of each patty, then season both sides generously with Don Sazon Hamburger Seasoning.
Grill the burgers for 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium, or until they reach your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, top with cheese and close the grill lid until melted.
Spread mayonnaise on the cut sides of the brioche buns and toast them cut-side down in a cast iron skillet on the grill until golden brown.
Assemble the burgers by spreading the sauce on the bottom toasted bun, then layer with the grilled burger, dill pickle slices, thinly sliced onion, more sauce, butter lettuce, and the top bun.
